John Buccigross's Western Conference preview is up at ESPN.com. He seems a little bored this year, but he has the Oilers slotted #7 and the Flames 8th, which, considering he almost always seems to bid too low on the good guys, is good news.

Any Western Conference prediction list that puts Vancouver at #14, behind St Louis (WTF?) and Columbus is probably so covered in crack dust that it's hard to read.
The reasons he offers for Vancouver's catastrophic impending doom appear to be mostly what might happen to Vancouver after this year is over. How this is supposed to explain a collapse into the conference sewer this year is not explained.
Nice try, Butchy, but not even close.

Until the oilers get rid of the whole coaching staff and some of their slugs on the ice, the playoffs will be a dream this year again.
