I expect Putin tried to have it served with tea (it's Slavic culture, loaves and cakes have psychological implications for those guys). But if you didn't know the background of the photo you would have the sense that the thing is probably going to end up shoved halfway up the bald dude's lower intestine.

One of my Russian profs was a huge Solzhenitsyn fan, so we wound up reading a fair bit of his stuff in class. I was actually surprised by this news; I just assumed he'd died years ago.
